Electromyography revealed evidence of acute and chronic denervation in all four cases. WebPolymyositis is a rare autoimmune and sometimes paraneoplastic inflammatory myositis. The diagnosis is based on a typical clinical presentation, elevated serum skeletal muscle enzymes, and findings on electromyography and muscle biopsy.
