Webb15 juni 2016 · Among them, only Tic62 has been structurally characterized as an FNR binding-protein (Alte et al. 2010), and this protein was recently identified in the model plant organism, Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). The others protein directly participate in photosynthesis, but Tic62 has no direct photosynthetic role. WebbTic62 loss of function mutants exhibit decreased thylakoid binding of ferredoxin-NADP(H) oxidoreductase (FNR) and less stability of this electron-transferring protein, known to be critical for photosynthesis. It is assumed that a Tic62/FNR complex might be involved in the direction of electrons to the assembled Tic machinery.
